I love the fancy house and the horses and cows. The flower’s and insects are great.

Here we are again for a pleasant five day break at Staple House. Ah, what a place!

What a country retreat Tom has created. This House has a country character the selected furnishings, the pictures on the walls, the cosy carpets on the floors, not to mention all the ornaments. In the kitchen count his plates & dishes, are there 573? or did I miss some ? And coffee cups – Tom has supplied enough for a huge party having a celebration in the grounds. Tom is a host who thinks big! Adding to the country character must be those creaking floor boards- No one can creep on you to give you a fright. Thank you again Tom for your genuine, generous hospitality.

This morning the old dog came down to check on the visitors and to get a pat. This done he went about his day.

“This place is amazing. If you are after a weekend (or even more than a weekend!!) gateway, this is the place to go. Tom is a wonderful host and the house has everything you could possibly need, and way more than that! We were traveling with our dog, a 3yo Kelpie, and he also had a blast running around the property and playing with Tom’s border collie. As for breakfast, you can be sure that you are going to be satisfied. Bread, marmalade, eggs, milk, yogurt, bacon, sausages, fresh fruit, coffee, tea…enough to please everybody! Excellent value for money, we will be back!!”

“Clean and cozy, equipped with everything you can possibly imagine, plenty of atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Great shower, very comfortable bed, lots of food to make breakfast with. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Perfect couple of days, I wish we stayed longer but we’ll definitely go back!”

We were welcomed warmly when we arrived. And he gave us as much information as he could. The location is great, not far from towns like Kilkivan or Gympie, but where you can enjoy the picturesque countryside scene, especially the breathtaking dawn and dusk. Recommend strongly!”
